Company History

In 1883, Nathan Morrison claimed a parcel of land in northeast Nebraska as part of the Homestead Act that allowed settlers to develop farm ground. His son, Frank Nathan Morrison, expanded the farming and cattle operations during his full century of life. Five generations have continued farming operations that include the original Homestead.

In 1982, after several years as a contract grower for other popcorn companies, Frank C. Morrison (Nathan’s great grandson) built a popcorn processing plant and began selling quality popcorn to customers around the world. Nebraska Popcorn (and its Morrison Farms brand) has grown into one of the largest popcorn companies in the United States, having sold to customers in more than 70 countries.

Nebraska Popcorn remains privately owned, with Frank serving as President and his son, Brett, serving as Vice President. We are committed to quality products, personable service and competitive prices.
